"Hallo, please hide my ID. I am a young man from Thyolo. I did my primary education at Mtawa Primary School, TA Ngolongoliwa, Thyolo, and was selected to Addolorata CDSS in the district. Unfortunately, I dropped out after Form 2 because my parents, who are still alive, could no longer afford to support my education. I spent two years at home. In 2025, someone I met on Facebook promised me a job. However, I ended up doing work I cannot disclose publicly because I had no other means of survival. When the person wanted to take me to South Africa, I refused, and he abandoned me in Lilongwe with nowhere to go. I had to find a way to survive, so I became a security guard.

Despite everything I went through, I did not give up on my dream of getting an education. In the same year, I returned to school as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) student at Mbizi Secondary School in Lilongwe. I am now in Form 4. Life is not easy. I work at night guarding Mmwenye's house, get a little sleep in the morning, do piecework whenever I can, and attend school in the afternoon before returning to work. My salary is not enough to cover all my needs for the whole month.

I have already paid my school fees for this examination year, but I still need pamphlets, notebooks, a scientific calculator and a mathematical set to help me prepare for my examinations.
