Project Overview & Background

Wongani Zgambo, a 12-year-old girl from Nkhotakota, is appealing for support from well-wishers to continue her education.

Wongani has been selected to Nkhotakota Boarding Secondary School, but her mother, who is a single woman in her early 20s, is struggling to raise the required school fees. She lives with her own mother, who is also struggling to support the family.

Wongani comes from a community where child marriage is common, largely due to poverty. Her mother also became a mother at a young age, putting Wongani at risk of facing the same cycle if she is unable to continue with her education.

Without financial support, there is a high possibility that Wongani will have to settle for a nearby community day secondary school instead of taking up her place at the boarding school.

We are appealing to well-wishers to support Wongani with her school fees and give her a chance to continue her education and build a better future. Kindly donate. Thank you in advance.
